In Memoriam · Funeral & Memorial Music
A trained classical voice for the hour that has to be right — spirituals, hymns and sacred song coordinated with the director and clergy, never added on top of the family.
A person, present
Music at a farewell should not feel inserted. It should feel held.
In Memoriam is Aria Amore's funeral and memorial line: live sacred and classical voice for services, visitations, graveside remembrances and chapel moments. We arrive early, coordinate quietly with funeral staff and clergy, and serve the shape of the service already being created for the family.
Same-day response whenever possible. Short-notice engagements are welcome when availability allows.
Three service formats
One carefully chosen selection for a graveside service, visitation, or brief chapel moment.
A complete vocal presence within the service itself, coordinated around readings, prayers and the family's wishes.
Live music from prelude through dismissal for a service in which the music carries a larger part of the farewell.
Under 48 hours' notice: +$200. Accompanist by arrangement, typically +$200 and subject to availability. Travel included within 50 miles of Charleston/Santee; Columbia and Sumter included. Family or funeral firm may be invoiced directly.
For funeral directors
In Memoriam is designed to be useful to the professionals holding everything together. Aria Amore can work from the funeral home's service outline, coordinate repertoire with clergy, arrive early, handle music directly, and invoice either the family or the firm.
Time to settle the room, confirm cues and avoid adding pressure to staff.
Sacred song, hymns, spirituals and classical selections suited to the service and tradition.
The agreed service is the service. We do not sell additional items to grieving families in the room.
Repertoire for remembrance
Selections are guided by the family's tradition, the service setting and what the music needs to say. Repertoire may include hymns, classical sacred song, American spirituals and works by Black American composers.
Same-day response whenever possible
Funeral directors, clergy and families may request availability directly. Short notice is welcome when the calendar allows.
